Theravada is a Queens-bred, LA-based soul sample producer who's worked with big names like Earl Sweatshirt, Roc Marciano, Sir EU, and now Phlote. Those in the DMV know Nappa's resume. He's known for his boundary-pushing music and visual art and has been a key addition to the Eaton Sessions. Nappa's been an active participant in DC's music community for years. His work as a rapper and producer has garnered acclaim from publications like The Washington Post and Complex Magazine.
Nappa jumped on a Theravada beat to create "Close Eye", a song and a chant that describes the life span of a black creative…“I'm a lover, I'm a lonely black mfr”.
